Ok, now that that’s out of the way. What does the RIAA really think? Our
customers are complete idiots and will steal everything we make? Well here is
my response to that, No we won’t, but crap like this sure makes me angry at
you. The RIAA wonders why every year its revenues decline, let me tell you this
its not because of stealing, its 90% crap like this, 8% is stealing and 2% is
consumers who don’t like or want your product. Bad treatment of your customers,
you know those things that buy the things that you distribute for something, equals
no more buying of those things. Trust me consumers are NOT ignorant and are defiantly
NOT stupid either. If you treat you customers like shit, then they will find a
way to stick it right back into your face and make you eat it, more than likely
buy not buying your wares. The RIAA really thinks everyone steals? Why, because
they can, because they are losing revenue, because some people actually do, because
it gives them a good reason to force consumers to give them more money because
they cannot change with the times, ect. They say you can buy our cd’s, you can
even buy the mp3 player, but you are not allowed to put that cd you just bought
on that shiny ultra portable, ultra sleek, attention grabbing, status upping
mp3 player you just bought. That’s just plain B.S. and quite a load of it too.
Now I understand you have to protect you IP, and you should to that, but you
can only go so far before you start to affect your customers, and when it interferes
with your customers, and coincidently make them very mad at you, because they
cannot do the things that they should be able to do with it, then you hurt your
revenue. If you cannot change with the times, then don’t and die off, else make
you customers happy and come up with new ways to please your customers, not
annoy the hell out of them. The RIAA has been grabbing at straws for sometime
now, but they need to look at the whole picture, shape up or ship out, what
ever one I don’t care, just quit pissing me off, and every other consumer out
there. You should be welcoming the new technology not trying to hinder its use.
Every other company has adapted, so why cant you. Technology is here to stay,
get used to it. Don’t tell us we cannot put your cd, which we just bought, on
our mp3 player, which we own. I suggest that companies should not try to use
the DMCA like its there own personal bitch, and figure out how to adapt to this
ever changing world we now live in. Most consumers are law abiding, product
buying peoples, who are generally willing to spend more, if it means more
freedom to do more with their product they bought. l8r.
