(Disclaimer: read though this
with an open mind, and think about what I have said with some reasonable
thought, this is meant to be thought invoking. So think of it as such)
Who is to say what religion is right and what one is wrong;
who I ask, who? Is it you, think about this for a minute, I mean really, really
think about this question hard. Does anybody have the right to say, with the utmost
authority and certainty, that your religion is wrong and theirs is the only
correct one? I truly believe that no one has this right to make this decision.
If they did have this right, then would they not be either a false profit or a manifestation
of God themselves? Now that statement is a bit of a stretch, I know, but it
does get my point across. I have no right to say that my religion is better or
more correct than yours or anyone else’s, you know why? Because nobody truly know
if they were following the right path, until they die. I know this is harsh,
but it really is just a shot in the dark, a real crap shoot until the end. We
have faith that the path we have taken on religion is correct, but it is just
that faith that it is correct. It is not a fact that it is correct. In
addition, who is not to say that maybe, just maybe, most if not all religions,
are correct in the end, just as long as you believe in something? I personally believe
that there is one and only one God, but that does not mean that it is not as
equally right for someone to believe in another God or Gods. This is what I believe;
this is what I have based my faith upon; I am a Christian. This is what I believe
to be the right path, for me. This does not mean it is the right path for you
or anyone else for that matter. To whoever might read this, think about it, and
think about it hard. Do you have the right to tell someone else that what they believe
in is wrong? Think about it, what if you are wrong? You can profess your faith
and tell others that there might be a better way, but you do not have the right
to decide that your belief is right and theirs is wrong. If you do, are you not
doing God’s work? And, at least in my religion, doing God’s work is something
that you should never do, so deciding who’s religion is right and who’s is
wrong is, and always will be, a burden on God’s shoulders, not a burden that
any mortal human should or can ever bear the weight of.
